Summer holiday stitching

While on holiday I spent time completing this pattern from "the birdhouse"

I did have trouble getting the lining to fit neatly  so I decided to revamp it to my version and it's just good now.

More pickles were also worked on

I am making this into a quilt. I have the outside sewn just need to fill in with lots of pickles.

I hope you all had a wonderful summer, we have had fantastic weather down our neck of the woods in southern New Zealand, finding it hard to settle back into a routine.

Happy stitching, thanks for visiting

Christmas Swap Gifts

Another swap I was involved in was the Monday Night Group I'm involved with.

We chose a magazine and secretly swapped these so we did not know who our partner was.  We then got to choose something from the magazine we received and made this then swapped.  It was all a secret and such a lovely thing to do.

Thank you to my partner Robyn whom I received the following wallhanging.

Here is Rudolph the Reindeer that I swapped with Bridget.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to All

A big thank you to all those out there in blogging land who have visited and encouraged along with all the friends who vist and don't have a blog.  I don't always get to the blog but I do think about a lot to put on that sometimes never makes it to the computer screen.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a festive Happy New Year with family and friends.
May you all have your machines oiled and ready to go along with those needles and thread for 2015.
